Call me crazy, but the Titanic beckoned me right from the start. For normal people, it's a place not to be touched with a ten-foot pole. A menacing, soot-blackened skeleton of a building, no lights, no running water, trash everywhere, boarded-up windows, swarming with rebels who fought with Charles Taylor's National Patriotic Front of Liberia and his much-feared private security forces, the Anti-Terrorist Unit.
